Say- This means that there is dignity in all work and everything we do deserves our  best effort.

Mean- That we should be proud of what we do because you putting your whole effort into it.

Matter- This is important because everybody do different things and everybody put their whole effort to do those things.


Write: Can people change their futures? Use evidence from the poem, article, or both to support your argument.

People could change their future if they want to. For example, the girl in the article "Taking the High Road" change her life after she drop out and had a baby. Ms Jones  or she said, "I don't have nobody, so for me to do it by myself and not have anybody telling me to do it, it shows I'm really trying. Ms Jones graduated from the Clemente course. This important because this shows how people change over time.

Says- The quote is saying that having a gun or weapon doesn't make you courageous being brave makes courages.


Mean- This quote means that people with guns are not courageous.

Matter- This quote matters because without courage in you you're not going to have much respect from other people.




1.  The film is a modern interpretation of the text, which was written in the 1600's. What did you understand or find confusing? What connections can you make to your history class? 

The thing I understand that in the beginning of the movie the it looked like the people were in war with other people and a lot of people where dying and getting injured.

In my history class we are talking about WWII about how all the world is at war.
